Once Upon a Time Tennis (OUATT) is the worlds largest tournament for young people that are passionate about tennis and commited to developing their skills. OUATT operates in 50 countries and has over 100,000 junior tennis participants worldwide
Young people aged from 9-16 years are eligible to play.
OUATT is founded on the principles of Fun, Fair Play, Performance, Emotion, Camaraderie and Social Conscience. Participation provides players an opportunity to develop their skills and self confidence giving them a great foundation as young adults.
In Australia in 2011/12, OUATT has 30 events scheduled mainly in regional areas across all States, with each event attracting an average of 150 participants.The national finals events are hosted each year in May.
Winners have the opportunity to receive an all expenses trip the OUATT International Finals. This year 2011 finals was held in Paris. Previous Australian talent have gone on to win scholarships with Mouratoglou - No. 1 Tennis Academy in Europe. Champions such as Marcus Baghdatis have been previous OUATT scholarship winners.
